Frequently asked questions

Answers about PrivateAccess.

Information about addresses, pricing, security, billing and mail access.

Accounts and addresses

What email address will I receive?

Your primary address uses the username you select followed by @privateaccess.space. Usernames are unique across PrivateAccess accounts.

Is @p-a.me currently available?

Yes. The matching @p-a.me address delivers to the same mailbox as the primary PrivateAccess address.

Can somebody else register my username on the short domain?

No. The account model reserves the same username for the primary and short identity, both connected to one mailbox.

Can I change my username later?

Username changes are not currently supported. A controlled rename and alias-retention policy must be defined before that option can be offered.

Pricing and billing

How much does PrivateAccess cost?

The Early Release offer costs USD $29.99 for 24 months: the first year is paid and the second year is complimentary. It is limited to the first 50 paid and activated accounts, with no monthly plan.

How are payments processed?

Payments use Stripe-hosted Checkout and Stripe Billing.

Does the plan renew automatically?

The complimentary second year begins automatically with no charge. The next paid annual renewal is 24 months after activation unless cancelled from the dashboard.

What happens if renewal fails?

The account enters a limited grace period. If payment is not restored before the grace period ends, the mailbox is suspended rather than deleted immediately.

Will tax be charged?

Tax is not currently collected because no active tax registration has been configured. Registration obligations and sales thresholds are monitored and will be reviewed as the service grows.

Mail and storage

How much storage is included?

Early Release mailboxes begin with 1 GB. Every active Early Release mailbox will be upgraded automatically to 20 GB of total storage at full public release, at no additional charge.

Can I send to Gmail, Outlook and other providers?

Yes. Provisioned mailboxes use the hosted mail service for external sending and receiving.

Can I use desktop and mobile mail apps?

Yes. Mail settings provides authenticated IMAP and SMTP details for compatible applications.

Is there a webmail interface?

Yes. Active customers can open secure hosted webmail from their dashboard.

Security and support

How is my account protected?

PrivateAccess uses strong password hashing, protected sessions, optional authenticator-based two-factor authentication, one-use recovery codes, one-use account tokens, rate limits, CSRF protection and verified billing events.

What if I forget my password?

A time-limited reset link is sent to the verified recovery address.

Is PrivateAccess already live?

Yes. The account-control application runs in production, and paid mailboxes are provisioned on the hosted mail service.

How can I contact support?
